My Little Abomination is a creature creation game for Android phones with NFC (Near Field Connection) capabilities. The game uses NFC in order to allow local players to interact with each other’s creatures. This allows players to fuse their creatures with other nearby players simply by taping phones in order to discover and unlock new kinds of body parts. Players also can switch into fight mode to battle each other head to head in a turn based battle system.
HOW TO PLAY
NFC (NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION)
In order for My Little Abomination's fusion and fighting features to work you must have an Android phone with NFC capabilities (list of enabled devices). Check your settings under "wireless & networks" to ensure that the NFC feature is turned on.
FUSION MODE
To fuse creatures both phones must be in fusion mode and then both players need to bump the backs of their phones together and tap their screens to send each other creature data.
FIGHT MODE
Fight mode is a turned based battle system in which one player chooses to attack "high", "medium", or "low" and then sends the attack to the second player (if both players try to attack in the first round the player who taps their screen first gets to attack first). The second player then selects one of the three areas to defend. If they correctly guess where their opponent attacked they take no damage, otherwise they lose 1 health. Players take turns attacking and defending until one player loses all of their health.
THE LAB
In the Lab players can freely change their creature's body parts to any body part they have previously unlocked through fusion with other players. Note that unlocking one body part does not unlock the entire set (i.e. unlocking water arms does not automatically unlock water legs). See if you can unlock them all!
